Who wants some Guiness??

We thought it best to have a couple two three guiness' for ourselves on St. Patrick's Day. When the kids asked Pop about his beer he felt he needed to give the traditional family answer ..."it's a lot of work drinking this beer and it tastes disgusting...." So OF COURSE the children are intrigued and want a sip. So Pop, being the good Irish Grandfather, gave them their first BIG SWIG of Guiness. Thought you might enjoy the pictures.....

One Day....

The Brown Lake Mystery.

ONE DAY - when MOt and Kristin were VERY young, they went to the summer cottage. The neighbors were eating fried carrots and baked lettuce. They had downloaded the reciepe off of the Internet. The topic of discussion at the dinner table was tHE BROWN LAKE. Apparently, the brown lake was very very cold. And the neighbors liked it that way. Everyone else thought it was too cold. Most people thought the neighbors were crazy for that and a number of other reasons.
[They voted for Pat Buchanan!] Mot and Kristin wanted to help people that thought the brown lake was totally disgusting. They wanted to help by putting blue food coloring in the lake and making it shiny blue. Their parents thought it was a bad idea becaue the lake belonged to the goverment. And the goverment would really be mad if they did that. So instead, they planned a family fun trip to the brown lake. They wanted to be brave and go under water like Aunt Cathy and Uncle Jimmy. They gathered up all their courage and held their noses and JUMPED.
They dicovered how exciting it was to be in the water and when they were at the bottom, Mot saw something SHINY! He went up for air and called for Kristin. When Mot told her, she cried "We may have dicovered Atlantis!" They dove back in again and dusted the shiny thing off.
There was a heater. It was switched OFF. Kristin made a mistake and switched it ON. A blast of heat came shooting out of the heater. Everybody that as in the lake was terribly suprised. And at that moment, the dust cleared up and you could see every speck of sand on the bottom. Everyone was so suprised, they could barely say anything. Everyone thanked Kristin and Mot.
Except for the neighbors, who were so upset, they bought themselves their own pool!

The End.

some pics I have not shared

here's some pics you probably have not seen since I'm not committed to digital photography....

sweetheart dance 2006

Grace 's school does this sweetheart dance thing...she is allowed to invite dad, grampas or an uncle...

She wanted to invite a 15 year old boy but I said...uummm...no. She said well then I guess I'll go with uncle mot. The whole daddy going was last on her list. Thanks Grace. Santa will remembet that. You might as well kiss Diney world goodby too.

We had fun. Mot and I chatted while Grace did some sort of run around with your friends thing. Grace did ask me to dance and it was very precious. She will take a lead better than her mother which is a good sign.

Mot was quite the date...tall, handsome....and he brought jewelery. Man . What a night.

My sisters mention my nice combo of stripes ..[I guess my fashion sense did not kick in until i was err..6] Uncle Ted must have been my inspiration.

Aunt Catherine's new digs!

The Prato's and Bill Jones headed down to see Aunt Catherine this weekend. She just recently moved into her new quarters at Marywood University. The new place is swell and includes lots of space for the sisters and visitors. Cathy, Thomas and Elizabeth Prato went down along with Bill Jones.
